Paraclinic and imaging
In ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging is considered an integral part to achieve a correct and accurate diagnosis. Therefore, Basir Ophthalmology Center has always been based on the principle of using the latest achievements of science and technology and the latest advanced devices to achieve accurate diagnosis.
Topography and aberrometry devices are used for topographic mapping of the anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea and also for determining the coordinates and the degree of its distortion. At Basir Center, EyeSys, OrbScan and Sirius devices are used for this purpose. The specular microscope examines the number, shape and size of corneal endothelium cells. In special conditions and for anatomical and more accurate examinations of the eye, especially eye tumors, imaging is done with the ƮƛƦ device. To check the state of the retina, several devices are used, from simple ultrasound taken by B Scan device to advanced OCT, fluorescein angiography and ICG devices.
Due to the significant prevalence of increased intraocular pressure, two Humphrey perimetry devices are at the service of the visitors at the same time for visual field imaging.
Since a significant part of the patients who visit ophthalmology centers are patients suffering from cataracts, the exact determination of the power of the intraocular lens is doubly important. The special department for determining the power of the intraocular lens in Basir clinic, with the presence of experienced experts and the use of the advanced IOL Master device as well as the A Scan device, is in charge of this task in a completely professional manner. In addition to common single-focal lenses, determination of the lens number is performed for Phikik, multifocal and post-refractive intraocular lenses.
